Tin Screen Divider ~ created by Jim Switzer:
The "Irwin Block" was built in 1909 by B.A. Irwin and was home to "Irwin Groceries" and "AM Rogers & Co. Real Estate". In 1911, Crushank & Houston moved into the building and it became the offices of "B.C. Katalla Oil Co." In 1912, "C.H. Cowen Drugs Ltd." moved in and installed the pressed tin ceilings. In 1938 Mr. Irwin sold the building to H D Hipwell. This is the history of the tin used to create this beautiful addition to Hospice. The screen provides added privacy to our grief support groups. Thank you for this beautiful addition to the Chilliwack Hospice Society’s Rotary Centre!
